A note

How data is protected: check it yourself
Below is a live demonstration of the same two principles the platform relies on. The cipher differs: the platform uses Fernet, that is AES-128-CBC with HMAC-SHA256 authentication, while the browser here runs AES-256-GCM. The meaning is the same: without the key the ciphertext is useless, and tampering is rejected by the authenticity check. Everything runs in your browser and nothing is sent anywhere.

The platform stores passport and bank details on the same principle: the database holds only ciphertext, useless without the key. Change the key or a single character of the ciphertext and decryption is rejected.

Contract integrity with SHA-256
Between the two signatures the contract is protected by a checksum: change one character and the hash changes completely, which blocks the signing.
